The beefy, earthy and creamy texture of this East-European dish is unbelievable! The original recipe is made with chicken or calf (sad face), but you won't miss the authenticity of Stroganoff! 
This vegan Mushroom Stroganoff is the perfect dish for a Dinner-Date or a family supper!

When your infant or child is having chronic vomiting or diarrhea, perhaps due to intestinal flu, there is nothing more important to you, than giving her/him some fluids.

What's the first thing that pops into your mind? Pedialyte! Is Pedialyte really the best solution? Let's evaluate.

Electrolytes in Pedialyte and Gatorade are important because they are what your cells (especially nerve, heart, muscle) use to maintain voltages across their cell membranes and to carry electrical impulses (nerve impulses, muscle contractions) across themselves and to other cells.

Your kidneys work to keep the electrolyte concentrations in your blood constant despite changes in your body. For example, when you exercise heavily, you lose electrolytes in your sweat, particularly sodium and potassium.

These electrolytes must be replaced to keep the electrolyte concentrations of your body fluids constant. But what about all the sugars, additives, dyes and chemicals that are added to Pedialyte and Gatorade?

Do you really want to add toxins and chemicals into your sick child's little body?

Trying to figure out what to pack into school lunches and snacks is such a chore, at least it was for me. I used to run out of ideas or I just simply forget if my boys had that particular snack already that week.

If it comes to running the household smoothly, I take any help I can get. This list will do just that, take the small burden of coming up with snack ideas, lunch ideas, as well as remembering what you prepared recently.


The project is quite simple really and this is what you need
  • Print out of Poster (order my design on Zazzle or take download to your local printer)
  • Suitable Frame with Glass Front
  • Dry Erase Markers 


How-To:
  1. Take the download file to your local print shop or order my design on Zazzle
  2. Print the list any size you prefer 
  3. Get a matching frame with an acrylic or glass front
  4. Place poster into frame and hang in the kitchen


There you have it. Use the dry-erase markets to check-off the snacks you made that week or month and get the kids involved.

How many different new snacks can you try this week?
How many different fruits did I eat this week?
Children can challenge themselves to beat their own record each week...
Make stars behind foods your child loves the most...

Almond and Apple Explosion - Raw Vegan GF Treats


I know what you're thinking, "These must be packed with sugar and calories"

Well, actually, these Almond Apple Truffles are made without any sugar, are gluten free, dairy free, and are vegan.

Now let's get our hands dirty with these "clean" Almond Apple Explosions!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup + 1 tbsp. Almond Meal by Red Mill
  • 1 medium Apple, grated (with skin)
  • 3 tbsp. Natural Almond Butter
  • 1 pinch of Sea Salt (brings out all the flavor)
  • 1 tbsp. Lemon Juice and the Peel (use organic lemon, peel first and then juice)
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2-3 tbsp. Cocoa Powder or Hot Chocolate Powder, your choice (for rolling)


Tip: you could also use almond meal or any other nut for rolling
Tip: feel free to experiment with spices and flavors!

Directions: (so simple!)

  1. Mix everything together 
  2. Roll with coconut oil-covered hands into little bit-size pieces
  3. Roll them in the cocoa powder or coconut flakes
